The book has plenty of pictures and provides a plethora of general information on the Leonberger dog. A great book for Leonberger fanciers to have in their library- especially if they are new to the breed!

The Art of Raising a Puppy by The Monks of New Skeet

Has
it been a while since you
had a puppy in the home? While we don't agree with every method the
Monks of New Skeet use with their German Shepherd puppies is the best
method for every Leonberger, we love the way this guide describes puppy
development and ponders dog psychology. A very fun and
enlightening read!
The Dog's Mind by Bruce Fogle

How
do dogs perceive the world
about them? How do they see, hear,
learn, and relate to their owners? What is
their emotional makeup? Bruce Fogle takes the Disney Myth of dog
psychology and paints a true portrait of how dog's think, learn, and
feel with a dry humor and great insight. A great read for
the
curious!
The Complete Dog Book

What
are the real difference between the 150+ dog breeds out there?
The AKC's Complete Dog Book contains the standard by which
every
breed is judged in the ring and has a wonderful introduction and
Glossary. The book got even beefier recently with the
addition of
chapters on grooming, training, health, and first aid. A
wonderful book for the serious dog fancier. (Outdated
editions
can be purchased very inexpensively on Amazon.com)
Dog Steps: A New Look

Want
to understand how a judge evaluates movement? This is a wonderful book
for anyone from the amateur to the professional. Rachel Paige Elliot
has been on the forefront of understanding canine anatomy as relates to
movement. She was the first to peer inside the working canine
body with cineradiography. Her books and videos are a great resource!
